Mario Batali, Paula Deen, Tom Colicchio and Anthony Bourdain will satisfy their fans’ hunger for culinary thrills in one-hour “Up Close and Personal” appearances in the Circus Maximus Theater. He’s a regular on the Food Network, featured on both Iron Chef America and his own show, Molto Mario. Batali was even once awarded GQ’s “Man of the Year” in the chef category. Now audiences can enjoy his Italian cooking live! The chef in the signature orange clogs has taken time out of his extremely hectic schedule of national television appearances, running twelve thriving restaurants across the nation and feverish cookbook authoring to demonstrate how freshness and simplicity are the keys to his fine Italian cuisine.

Caesars welcomes back Paula Deen, the beloved “queen of southern cuisine” and star of the popular Food Network shows, Paula’s Home Cooking and Paula’s Party. Deen is the American dream come true, having turned her Grandmother’s secrets of southern cooking into a successful culinary empire. Her career continues to flourish with a series of popular cookbooks, The Lady and Sons restaurant in Savannah which was awarded “Most Memorable Meal of the Year” in 1999 by one of USA Today’s food writers, and her thriving magazine, Cooking with Paula Deen.

It takes an exceedingly skilled chef to sit in the lead judge’s seat on Bravo television network’s highly acclaimed Top Chef. And Colicchio fills this role perfectly. In addition to mentoring and judging contestants on the show, he oversees his top-rated New York City restaurants, Gramercy Tavern and Craft, as well as the expansion of his restaurant empire into locations throughout the United States. Colicchio has also written two cookbooks and has received Bon Appétit’s American Food and Entertaining Award for Chef of the Year.

Anthony Bourdain – Sunday, October 12, 2008 at 1 p.m.
This bestselling author used his flair for writing to pen not cookbooks, but a page-turning, behind-the-scenes look at his 20-year stint of working in some of New York City’s most celebrated restaurants. This book is entitled Kitchen Confidential. Bourdain is also the host of Food Network’s A Cook’s Tour which, again, is not your ordinary cooking show but part adventure series and part Bourdain’s search for “kicks, thrills, epiphanies” and “the perfect meal” which once happened to be the still-beating heart of a cobra.

Anthony Bourdain Up Close and Personal – 1 p.m. in the Circus Maximus Theater
