HARRAH’S ENTERTAINMENT ATLANTIC CITY ANNOUNCES SECOND ANNUAL “TOAST TO THE COAST” FOOD AND WINE EVENT

SCHEDULED JUNE 26 – 29, 2008

–Spectacular four-day culinary event to take place at all four Harrah’s Entertainment Atlantic City Casinos: Bally’s, Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Showboat –

Following the overwhelming success of its 2007 Toast To The Coast Food and Wine Spectacular, Harrah’s Entertainment has announced that the second annual Toast To The Coast Food and Wine Spectacular will take place again at its four Atlantic City casinos from June 26 – 29, 2008.

A series of fabulous food and wine events including celebrity chef luncheons and gala dinners, culinary demonstrations, samplings of signature dishes, wine tastings, cookbook signings, food and wine pairings, gospel brunch, and comprehensive Food & Wine Exposition will all be part of this extraordinary festival on location at Bally’s, Caesars, Harrah’s Resort and Showboat.

Tickets for individual festival events range from $20 to $150, with the Vine and Dine gala dinner at Caesars priced at $250 per person. Advance ticket sales start at $15.

A Bubbly Beginning
As an official kick-off to the festival, “The Biggest Champagne Toast To The Coast” ever will be orchestrated simultaneously at 8pm on Friday, June 27th at all four casinos –
Harrah’s Resort, Bally’s, Caesars and Showboat, as a complimentary event open to all guests. Must be 21+ to participate. Proper identification required.

Food & Wine Exposition, June 26 – 28
The centerpiece of Toast To The Coast will be the Bally’s Food & Wine Exposition in the hotel’s Grand Ballroom, Thursday through Saturday, June 26 – June 28, 4pm-9pm on Thursday, 2pm-9pm on Friday, and 11am-6pm on Saturday.

During the Exposition, food and wine purveyors from across the United States will showcase gourmet food items and gadgets as well as display their featured wines. The Exposition will also offer attendees the rare opportunity to chat with spirits experts and sample fine wines. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase culinary equipment and cookbooks during the two-day event.

Don’t miss the Premier Wine Tasting event also taking place throughout the weekend, Please note, this will be a separate ticketed event within the Exposition.

Among the participating chefs are former White House Executive Pastry Chef Roland Meisner and TV Food Network stars Guy Fieri of Guy’s Big Bite and Ingrid Hoffmann, applauded for Simply Delicioso, her series on Latino cuisine. Calendar of Events: Friday, June 27
The Pool at Harrah’s Resort becomes the focal point on Friday, June 27th, from 6pm-10pm, with “Splash,” a poolside Wine and Dine Around. Here, Food Network’s celebrity chefs Ingrid Hoffmann and Guy Fieri accompanied by the award-winning culinary teams from Harrah’s Resort, Caesars, Showboat and Bally’s, will pair their signature dishes with select wines, surely a feast to be remembered.

Concurrently, a Cigar Beach Party featuring a selection of top-quality cigars and fine wines will take place at the renowned and popular Bally’s Bikini Beach Bar on Friday, June 27th, from 6pm -9pm. Tickets for the Cigar Party, which are $95, can be purchased in advance at www.gourmetshows.com

Calendar of Events: Saturday, June 28
On Saturday, June 28th the party moves to Caesars and The Pier Shops at Caesars. Savor a delectable luncheon at MIA created by renowned chefs Georges Perrier and Chris Scarduzio. Chefs Perrier and Scarduzio are also owners of Le Bec-Fin, Brasserie Perrier, and Table 31 in Philadelphia. Tickets for the MIA luncheon can be purchased directly at MIA or by calling 609-441-2345. At 3:30 pm, Food Network celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis will demonstrate some of her favorite dishes in the Caesars Maximus Theater.

Special “Taste of the Shore” menus will be offered throughout the day at the diverse and delicious restaurants within The Pier Shops at Caesars, including Buddakan, Continental, Sonsie, Trinity, Game On and Phillips Seafood.

Saturday’s events conclude with cocktails and a gala “Vine and Dine” dinner in the Caesars Palladium Ballroom, prepared by the all-star culinary team of Giada De Laurentiis, Guy Fieri, Ingrid Hoffmann and Roland Meisner.

Calendar of Events: Sunday, June 29
No one will want to leave Toast To The Coast without sampling Sunday brunch, especially the legendary Gospel Brunch offered at the House of Blues at Showboat. Brunch and music begin at 10am on Sunday, June 29th, in the House of Blues Music Hall. Guests are sure to be treated to the special brand of House of Blues hospitality and southern fare made famous by the tagline “Praise the Lord and Pass the Biscuits.”
