August, Besh Steak, La Provence and Lüke
Tomorrow will be business as usual for Besh Restaurant Group as Restaurant August, Besh Steak, and La Provence reopen following Hurricane Gustav. All restaurants, in addition to the previously reopened Lüke, will reopen and resume regular business hours effective today, Saturday, September 6, 2008.
Known for its innovative menu blending classical techniques of Louisiana cuisine with a splash of European flavor, Restaurant August, under the helm of Chef John Besh, defines New Orleans fine dining today. Located in a historic 1800s French-Creole building in the heart of the business district at 301 Tchoupitoulas Street, Restaurant August will be open daily from 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m. Reservations may be made by calling 504.299.9777.
Nestled in the popular Harrah’s New Orleans, Besh Steak embodies metropolitan sophistication fused with luxe elegance. Chef Jared Tees savors the opportunity to explore his creativity within the definition of an institution- an American steakhouse. La Provence, a Provençal auberge located just outside of New Orleans in Lacombe, utilizes its picturesque setting and vast onsite kitchen garden to create an enchanting dining experience. The return home of Chef Randy Lewis has already created a buzz amongst locals, who have begun singing his praises. Chef Lewis pays homage to the traditions of rustic-French cooking with a lighter touch. The first in the Besh family of restaurants to reopen, Lüke opened last Tuesday with a select menu, limited hours, and top Besh Restaurant Group management filling in for evacuated servers, bar tenders and even dishwashers.
