BRASSERIE 8½ CELEBRATES 8½ YEARS OF CUISINE AND ART

BRASSERIE 8½ CELEBRATES 8½ YEARS OF CUISINE AND ART

8 ½ Day Anniversary Planned for November 10-17th

Brasserie 8½ will celebrate its 8½ year anniversary this November, a unique milestone for the chic, creative French restaurant, which opened in 2000. For 8½ days, starting at lunch on November 10th through dinner on November 17th, the restaurant invites guests to toast the occasion with exclusive specials.

To celebrate this event, Executive Chef Julian Alonzo has prepared a special menu of his modern interpretations on brasserie classics, There will be a tasting of 8½ dishes, served in courses of two plates at a time, for $28.50 per person. Dishes include pork belly croque madame, short rib pot au feu, escargots with lamb sausage and garlic butter.

Chef Alonzo will also serve a selection of “Petits Plats,” small plates which are his riffs on brasserie classics, for just $8.50 each.

“I opened Brasserie 8½ and it’s amazing to think that we are celebrating our 8½ year,” said Chef Alonzo. “We are known for our unique take on brasserie food, with interesting twists on favorites from France. I love to put new ideas and touches into classics like coq au vin or squab a l’orange, which are at the heart of the original brasserie.”

A signature 8½ cocktail will be launched for the anniversary – made of Prosecco, Grand Marnier and blood orange purée, garnished with an orange chocolate for $8.50.

Brasserie 8½ is renowned for its spectacular art collection made up of original works by Henri Matisse and the only known glass mural by Fernand Léger, a floor-to-ceiling masterpiece that acts as a divider between the dining room and kitchen.

Brasserie 8½ is hosting a press event and tasting the evening of Monday, November 10th from 6-8 pm to kick off the anniversary celebration. Please RSVP to Tanja and Kelly, contact below, to attend.
