SD26 Saturday Wine Chat Series Starts!

In Italian – they say “chiacchierata” instead of chat and starting Saturday, December 5, our Cellar Master and narrator, Stefano Miloni, will be sharing the “History, Facts, & Legends: The Story of the Wines from Campania” at our SD26 Winebar. Come, taste, learn and ask our Cellar Master all about these marvelous wines from Campania & Aglianico.


Additional SD26 Wine Chat Series will be held on December 12 and 19.

Monday, December 21 – Thursday, December 24
We will be serving the SD26 five-course Southern Italian Christmas fish menu in addition to our SD26 regular dinner menu.
In Southern Italy, fish is historically served on Christmas Eve and the most traditional celebration calls for seven different types. Hailing from the area of Naples, owner Tony May and his daughter, Marisa May, honor this tradition by offering a five-course all-fish menu, designed by Chef Odette Fada and Chef di Cucina Matteo Bergamini, the week before Christmas.

Christmas Day
Come spend Christmas with us. Bring your family to enjoy our deep sense of festivity and light. From our traditional Neapolitan soup to Saddle of pork or Chestnut Christmas log – we are redefining this lovely holiday in the SD26 style! And, of course you can always dine on our regular menu.

New Year’s Eve
This exciting evening features a four-course menu designed by award-winning Chef Odette Fada and Chef de Cuisine Matteo Bergamini, dancing and entertainment by one of New York’s favorite D.J.’s, Felix Cutillo of Sonodea, as well as party favors and, at midnight, a special Champagne toast accompanied by a taste of homemade Cotechino (a delicate Italian pork sausage) and lentils, traditionally served in Italy to ensure good luck in the New Year. The festivities will commence at 9:30pm and end at 2am.

New Year’s Day
At the bar from 4pm on, Renato will have the day after remedy of an egg yolk with drops of lemon juice chased with one of our great beer selections. A terrific way to recover from the Eve’s madness! We will be offering our regular a la carte menu from 5:30pm on.

Toast the Season with Holiday Cocktails
There is nothing like a round of our signature SD26 Star Cocktails to spice up your holiday celebrations. Come join us at the bar – or shake things up at home with our very own recipe.

2 ounces freshly squeezed orange juice
½ ounce of Aperol
4 dashes of Cointreau
Chilled Prosecco
½ slice of orange as a garnish

Pour the first three ingredients into a champagne flute, top with prosecco and garnish with a slice of orange.

Michael Douglas lunched on the fresh porcini mushroom salad with white truffles while on a break from filming the sequel of Wall Street.

White Truffles Continue Through December
We’re importing the best white truffles available from Alba and Asti’s famous white truffle market for our special menu by Executive Chef Odette Fada and Chef de Cuisine Matteo Bergamini. Enjoy San Domenico favorites: Beef tartar & porcini, Egg yolk filled raviolo, Fettuccine al burro and Risotto con Grana. Or come in to enjoy white truffles on a whole Re-fried egg over cheese fondue.
White truffles are served at market price, currently $8.00 per gram.
