Reserve a table or two during NYC Restaurant Week
Nail reservations for NYC Restaurant Week, when scores of the top spots in town offer three-course lunches for $24.07 (and some dinners for $35).
There’s strategy involved — competition for tables is fierce. Lunch means meals near work, like Tribeca Grill or Aquavit.
Restaurants offering the dinner option mean double the availability, so aim for culinary all-stars like Nobu, Asiate and Mercer Kitchen.
New participants include The Breslin in the Ace Hotel, who’ll offer up creations that use the whole pig, from smoked ham and piccalilli to pork scratchings. Double bonus: they normally don’t take reservations, making getting a table somehow more convenient during Restaurant Week.

NYC Restaurant Week® Winter 2010 will feature more than 260 participating restaurants, making it the City’s largest dining program to date since it began in 1992. The two-week event will run from January 25 to February 7, 2010, and feature several new components, including an NYC Restaurant Week Truck, in addition to returning notable restaurants. Prices will remain $24.07 for three-course prix-fixe lunches and $35 for three-course prix-fixe dinners (excluding beverages, tax and gratuity) and do not include Saturdays; restaurants have the option to offer the deal on Sundays.
Added elements to the dining program this season include exclusive benefits for American Express Cardmembers. Cardmembers who dine out three or more times at any participating restaurants during NYC Restaurant Week and use any registered American Express® Card can receive a $15 statement credit. Food enthusiasts also will be able to enter sweepstakes from Coca-Cola and JetBlue.

Returning favorites this winter include The Sea Grill, City Hall Restaurant, db Bistro Moderne, Delmonico’s Steakhouse and Tribeca Grill (an NYC Restaurant Week participant since the program’s first year). Newcomers this season include The Breslin Bar & Dining Room, SD26 Restaurant & Wine Bar, Todd English’s Olives New York, Zé Café and The Libertine.
Also brand new to the dining program is the NYC Restaurant Week Truck, which will make its way through Manhattan offering gourmet soup from various NYC Restaurant Week participants. The truck will cater to patrons in high-traffic locations between 11am and 2pm, January 25–29 and February 1–5. Foodies will be able to track the truck’s whereabouts, look up prices and find out which two restaurants are serving their daily selections via nycgo.com/restaurantweek and twitter.com/nycgo.
