A Prestige Destination Wedding Planner Event in Palm Beach
Co-hosted by Renowned Chef Daniel Boulud and
Carley Roney, Co-founder and Editor-In-Chief of The Knot, Inc.
Experts and luxury service purveyors to share ideas at Café Boulud & The Brazilian Court Hotel and Beach Club in Palm Beach, April 8-11, 2010
The economy may be challenged but wedding bells haven’t stopped ringing, and weddings remain one of the special occasions where families will splurge, but still want to get the greatest value for their dollar. In an effort to stimulate creativity, particularly in a challenging economy, world renowned Chef Daniel Boulud, his Palm Beach restaurant, Café Boulud, Carely Roney of TheKnot, Inc., and The Brazilian Court Hotel & Beach Club will host “Weddings Under the Palms,” an interactive destination wedding event and forum on April 8 -11, 2010, tailored to the needs of national, professional wedding planners. Boulud and top bridal experts will offer event planners an elegant and cost effective approach to destination weddings in the distinctive luxury resort location of Palm Beach.
This event will not only showcase Café Boulud and Brazilian Court Hotel as exceptional venues, and the island of Palm Beach as a destination, but will also focus on ways to build value into a wedding event, especially at a prestige setting. National wedding planners will gather to glean creative tips and learn about emerging destination wedding trends from a panel of local and national experts. Attendees will also have an opportunity to network and learn from fellow planners in a convivial atmosphere while spending a few relaxing days at the luxurious Brazilian Court Hotel and Omphoy Ocean Resort, enjoying the amenities of Café Boulud and the Frederic Fekkai Salon, along with the many pleasures the island has to offer.
Wedding planner attendees will learn how to plan a destination wedding in the prestigious resort of Palm Beach, making use of all the exquisite amenities and resources this notorious tropical paradise has to offer. They may be pleasantly surprised to learn that nuptials – even in a luxe setting such as Palm Beach – can be even more cost effective than a gala wedding in a bridal couple’s home city. The event will begin on April 8th with a fanciful Wedding Ceremony Fashion Show and Reception in the Brazilian Court’s exquisitely landscaped Candela Courtyards replete with model brides and grooms and their wedding parties. Each will walk down the aisle in designer gowns by prominent American designers and new emerging by designers, attendant fashions, and groom and groomsmen attire by Brooks Brothers, with makeup and hair styling provided by the beauty experts at the on site Frederic Fekkai Salo n.
The bridal fashion show will be followed by a courtyard reception, enabling attendees to meet and mingle with local and national experts, including special guest editors, wedding planners, event designers, fashion experts, photographers, bridal hair and makeup specialists, and entertainment providers.
A seated wedding dinner, held in Café Boulud’s Conservatory and Ballroom, will provide an opportunity to experience world class cuisine created by Chef Daniel Boulud and Chef de Cuisine Zach Bell, followed by an elegant dessert buffet and elaborate wedding cake by Café Boulud’s Executive Pastry Chef, Matthew Petersen.
The following morning will feature an information-filled Wedding Brunch Roundtable Discussion moderated by Chef Daniel Boulud, and Carley Roney, Co-founder and Editor-in-Chief of The Knot, Inc. a national wedding publication and wedding planning website. Panelists will include editors from local publications, and a host of industry professionals in event planning and decor, floral design, bridal fashion and photography, in addition to representatives from the Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau, who highlight the area’s many attributes and attractions.
Those attendees who choose to remain throughout the weekend will be at their leisure and may opt on Friday to attend a hosted luncheon sponsored by the Palm Beach County Convention and Visitors Bureau, followed by a private insider tour of Palm Beach and Worth Avenue, given by expert Leslie Diver of Island Living Tours. That evening attendees are invited to a private oceanside cocktail reception at the newly opened Michelle Bernstein restaurant at The Omphoy Beach Resort. The following day they may choose to attend a complimentary Core Fusion class at Exhale Spa at the Omphoy and experience discounted spa services before and after the class. The remainder of the weekend is meant to give attendees time to explore the magical island of Palm Beach, and enjoy the many pleasures the area has to offer. They will also be able to enjoy discounted services at the Frederic Fekkai Salon & Spa, discounted meals at C afé Boulud, and shopping exclusives at select Palm Beach shops during their stay.
