At Casimir, less is definitely more!  The East Village French bistro is now offering mini-plates – half portions of every dish on its dinner menu!  At half the price, mini-plates offer more choice, less waste and a bigger bang for your buck.  Dining out is now back within your reach!

The idea to offer mini-plate half portions came to Casmir owner Guilliame Blestel upon learning that several loyal customers could no longer afford to dine out.   Rather than lose these members of the Casimir family, Blestel sought to create an opportunity for them to continue to enjoy the meals and atmosphere that made Casimir, located at 103 Avenue B (between 6th and 7th Streets/ 212- 358-9683), their home away from home.  The more Blestel explored the idea, the more it made sense for both the restaurant and its customers – a cost-effective alternative to current dining offerings.

Mini-plates offer more choice!

Go ahead, have that appetizer.  Order all your Casimir favorites or perhaps try something new.   Torn between the Grilled Garlic Sausage with warm Potato Salad and the Black Boudin Sausage with Apples and Mashed Potatoes?  Why not have both!  Half portions actually increase your dining options.   Casimir’s mini-plates offer the freedom to mix and match your meal just the way you want it. 

Mini-plates are less wasteful!

Large restaurant portions are all the rage, but most of that food ends up in a garbage can.  Casimir’s mini-plates provide more than enough of a helping to enjoy without the waste for both the restaurant and its diners.  Still hungry?  Order another dish.  At half the price you can fill your belly without emptying your pockets.
