Black Swan® 2010 South Eastern Australia Moscato
Distinctive and elegant, Black Swan wines are the essence of the Australian experience. Created with grapes from the premiere winemaking regions in South Eastern Australia, every Black Swan varietal is bold, yet remarkably smooth.
This light bodied Moscato showcases bright apricot and peach flavors, ending with a crisp citrus finish. This Moscato will pair well with light appetizers and salads, as well as a variety of spicy Ethnic cuisines.
The grapes for this 2010 Moscato were predominantly sourced from the Sunraysia region in the Murray Valley in South Eastern Australia. The region is well known for its warm, dry climate which provides ideal conditions for Muscat Gordo to flourish. Sunraysia’s rich soils and bright sunny days allow the Gordo fruit to develop its distinctive floral & orange blossom aroma and flavors. Ripeness of fruit and full flavor expression occurs early in this region, without the creation of high alcohol wines.
Crafted with premium grapes selected from some of South Eastern Australia’s finest wine growing regions, the 2010 Black Swan Moscato was harvested in March at optimum ripeness. The grapes were lightly pressed and then fermented for seven days at 55 degrees Fahrenheit, after which fermentation was arrested to retain natural grape residual sugar. Bottling followed regular filter regime.
